The value of ornamental ironwork does not come from whether or not it was hand forged.
The value of ornamental ironwork comes from the design concept that preceded the ironwork's production.
Hand forging, then adds detail, depth and quality to the design concept as it turns into a reality.
Pencils put lines on paper. Ironwork puts lines in space. It is the composition of these lines that determine, in the case of pencil and paper, if the end result is scribbling or fine art.
In the case of ironwork, it is the composition of these lines in space, vertical drawings in space if you will (spacial drawings) that determine if the finished ironwork is A. fine art, B. a visually supportive piece, or C. simply a utilitarian railing. And they all have their proper place.

- NATIONAL COMPANY
- ARCHITECTURAL DESIGN SERVICES
These services are based on 30 years of research and practical experience. - GATES
Hand forged and/or fabricated, highly detailed, front entry drive gates and/or pedestrian gates. - GATE FOOTINGS
Gate footings that put your gates and piers in perfect alignment and then eliminate any chance of their moving through frost pressures. - STAIR & BALCONY RAILINGS
Curved or straight in configuration. - SAMPLES
We provide detailed drawings and pre-construction samples of your metalwork. By working this way, there are absolutely NO surprises upon installation. We are strong believers in the No Surprises Club. - METAL OPTIONS
We work in true wrought iron, recycled steel (your old Toyota newly re-rolled!) aircraft aluminum alloys and/or golden bronze. - FLORAL WORK
Our custom floral work ranges from contemporary floral groupings to classic acanthus leaves. This work is all produced by forging sheet metal. The advantage of laying out and building this work from scratch, is by so doing, the proportions come out exactly the way you want them to be. - EXTENSIVE FINISH OPTIONS
A. Two part epoxy primer followed by automotive or industrial top coatings in any color.
B. Complete submersion into liquid primer for total coverage.
C. Zinc rich spray primers (90%+ zinc in the dried film).
D. Hot dip galvanizing (submersion into molten zinc @ 800 degrees). The galvanized metal is then painted to meet the specifications of the Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT). I suspect these specifications are used in most states with comparable weather conditions.
C. Hand forged aluminum construction. The aluminum is then painted with either a baked on industrial finish, automotive or industrial finishes. - PATINAS
Any color that will enhance your project, we can apply. - COMPETITIVE PRICES
Saying we have competitive prices on all levels would be a pretty bold statement for any shop to make. All shops have their specialties. To break this down, I would say that we are extremely cost competitive with our hand forged ironwork as that is our specialty. With regards to fabricated work (cut & weld), we are in the ballpark with most shops in the yellow pages. Fabricated work is their specialty. - QUALITY WORKMANSHIP
3 time NOMMA (National Ornamental & Miscellaneous Metals Association) award winner for product excellence.
